This production originated at the Tayer Antiyano Pa Arte Dramatiko (The Antillian Workshop for Dramatic Art C.C.C.), and premiered at the Centro Pro Arte (Civic Theatre) in Willemstad, Curacao, Netherlands Antilles on March 17, 1971.

This run, at La MaMa, in April 1971, marked the opening of the show's US tour.
