(Nob)Odyssey
(Nob)Odyssey is a dance theater installation with 13 dancers, two actors, and original music, written by Iannis Michalou(di)s, that explores the feelings of loneliness and agony that modern (wo)man endures in the journey toward self-awareness. Ulysses is everyone and everything, yet (s)he is also Nobody, as the character declares to the Cyclops in Homer’s epic.
(Nob)Odyssey's was originally developed for production at La MaMa in 1996 but was cancelled at the time, shelved until it premiered at La MaMa's First Floor Theater in 2003.
