Travels with Old Nick (2001)
Production
This marionette theater work for children took place on Saturday afternoons during the run of "The Prose of the Transsiberian and of the Little Joan of France" in 2001 at La MaMa. Designed to offer an option for young audiences to experience the Czechoslovak-American Marionette Theatre, it contained three short story-plays, collectively titled "Travels with Old Nick." These are "Kacha & the Devil," "The Waterspirit and Stingy Tailor" and "The Lawyer & the Devil."Throughout the run there was an exhibit in La MaMa's Annex Theater lobby curated by Isabelle Dupuis of lithographs, designs and puppets by Jakub "Kuba" Krejci and other collaborators of CAMT: Michelle Beshaw, Luiz Castro, Tine Kindermann, Theresa Linnihan and Beatrix Piesh.
