Slippery When Wet (1994)
Production
A new play by H. Maeoka which was first produced at La MaMa and was directed by Ching Valdes, of the Great Jones Repertory Company. Music was composed in a three way collaboration by Fred Carl, Yushio Torikai and vocalist Carlos Arevalo. Bearing such avant garde touches as an abstract set and a pair of dancers who emulate the couple's feeling in movement, the play is something of a feel-good romance for Generation X.
