This video documents the February 1973 production of “The White Whore And The Bit Player / La Estrella Y La Monja” at La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club. The production, which was presented in both English and Spanish, was written and directed by Tom Eyen and performed by Duo Theatre, a resident La MaMa company. This documentation only depicts the English-language production. This video was originally shot using a Portapak camera, and camera originals are spread across two separate half-inch open reels (numbered C5 and C6 in La MaMa’s collection).
