The images include Sam Shepard, Ellen Stewart, and director Tom O'Horgan as well as four others, seated in such a way as to provide the at-home television viewing audience with the context of being at a theatrical production.

Sam Shepard's "Fourteen Hundred Thousand" was part of the program of three plays directed by O'Horgan for the NET Playhouse program.
