Video Work: Documentation of "The White Whore And The Bit Player / La Estrella y La Monja" (1973a)

Description: This video documents the January 1973 production of “The White Whore And The Bit Player / La Estrella Y La Monja” at La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club. The production, which was presented in both English and Spanish, was written and directed by Tom Eyen and performed by Duo Theatre, a resident La MaMa company. This documentation only depicts the Spanish-language production. This video was originally shot using a Portapak camera, and camera originals are spread across two separate half-inch open reels (numbered C1 and C2  in La MaMa’s collection).

Video documentation of another 1973 production of “The White Whore And The Bit Player / La Estrella Y La Monja” (1973b) at La MaMa is contained on Reels C5 and C6 in La MaMa’s collection.
