Dream of the Phoenix, The
The Dream of the Phoenix by Alexandros is a multimedia ritualistic dance and music spectacle with classical orchestration, African rhythms, and jazz improv. Monumental sculpture by Martine Vaugel, choreography by Larl Becham, and visual design by Mervyn Willis.
On stage, musicians, singers, and dancers are all interwoven and relive the magical experience implied by the ancient Hellenic myth [of the Phoenix]. In addition, poetry by Heraclitus and Alexandros in Greek and English embellish this "imitation rite".
