A Canon for the Blue Moon (1998)
Production
Canon for the Blue Moon, A (1998), Salt Spring '98 (1998)
A Canon for the Blue Moon is the New York premiere of North American Cultural Laboratory (NaCl), the newest resident company of La MaMa.
The production abounds in precise and subtle movement and such curious "internal" lighting effects as light from cooking pots, furniture, and actors' mouths. The text is written by the ensemble. The performers create their own sensual, delicate soundscape onstage using voice, insturments, and found objects.
