Robert Een and his band Big Joe perform with a unique blend of instruments to create music that has been called "infectious, rich, and beautifully performed", "abounding with melody and rhythmic vitality", and "colorful and intuitive".
The band's original compositions range from "Azerbaijani Truck Stop", to the political satire of "Honecker on Parade", to the Klezmer-inspired "Chutzpah". Included in the program will be selections from a new soundtrack by Robert Een for "The Rook", a feature length film released by Ecco Films.
