Slight Return (1995)
Production
In John Jesurun's multimedia production, "Slight Return," actress Kyle deCamp was removed from the stage. She was enclosed in a seven foot square room, and only visible on a row of five video screens which were hung before the audience. Her performance was then fed live into the five screens. It was the latest work by the playwright/director who is considered one of our leading techno-visionaries of the theater; it was commissioned by La MaMa E.T.C. and the Randolph Street Gallery in Chicago where it premiered in October 1994. It was funded in part by an NEA Commissioning Grant.
