Everyday Newt Burman (1993a)
Production
The Tragedy of Cyclic Existence
"Every Day Newt Burman" was a full length program of three one-act operas written especially for Ridge Theater by John Moran. (Content warning: titles include outdated and ableist language.) "Every Day Newt Burman" "The Death Train of Baron Von Frankenstein" and "The Little Retarded Boy." The score was comprised of Moran's trademark assembly of sampled music and sound effects into a rigorous musical form, providing a "sounds-score" to which the performers moved, acted, and sang in split-second synchrony.
