"The piece was inspired by the difficulties involved with having a set for a previous work by the company transported to and from a theater festival in Sarajevo in 1999. The legal and political complications form the basis of this new work, which proved both interesting and exasperating.

Performers of various national backgrounds kept gathering at tables to discuss matters like the politics of Afghanistan and the Balkans, national identity, border crossings and the destruction and rebuilding of communities. It was good talk, and there were fascinating films and video images showing Afghanistan in the 60's and 70's and Sarajevo in more recent years."
