Birdbath
Work
Birdbath is a play by Leonard Melfi that has been produced by La MaMa both locally and on tour many times. A New York Times review for a 1981 production describes Birdbath as "a late-night dialogue between a homely waif and a prodigal poet," and "an archetypal Melfi play, in which the author skirts sentimentality and achieves a state of wistfulness."
