Talking Band In Concert, The (1983)

"Four performers from The Talking Band play their own music and speak lines by impassioned, primarily left-wing writers -- with Gertrude Stein and Muriel Rukeyser the only women represented.  The concert, which lasts an hour, starts, beguilingly, with free cognac, coffee and pastry...and particularly lyrical pieces by Neruda, O'Hara, and Lorca.  The musical accompaniment is equally winsome, played on saxophone, flute, piano, bells, Mexican clay whistles, clinkable found objects and drone boxes."
