Use and Takedown Policy

La MaMa Archives endeavors to provide broad access to its collections for study, research, teaching, and learning. In determining how and when to share materials, the Archives adheres to best practices that have been codified by the archival community and US copyright law, including the Fair Use regulations established in Section 107. In determining the application of Fair Use to La MaMa’s collections, the Archives abides by principles laid out in the Dance Heritage Coalition’s “Statement of Best Practices in Fair Use,” the Association of Research Libraries’ “Code of Best Practices in Fair Use for Academic and Research Libraries,” and the Online Computer Library Center’s “Well-Intentioned Practice for Putting Digitized Collections of Unpublished Materials Online.”
